Mark joined Kingston Smith Consulting in March 2009. He is the Partner leading the technology risk management practice line.
Prior to joining Kingston Smith Consulting, Mark was EMEA Director for the consulting firm Jefferson Wells and prior to that global Director of Information Technology Audit at Aviva. He is a highly respected senior IT auditor and information security risk professional and has developed and directed international audit and risk functions in a range of sectors including financial services, retail and manufacturing. He is an acknowledged specialist in risk management, data privacy, internal audit and quality management and has managed the successful implementation of global projects and business initiatives.
Mark has two degrees one in Economics and the other in Audit, Management and Consultancy. His qualifications include: Certified Information Systems Auditor, Six Sigma Black Belt, ISO 9001 Registered Lead Assessor, Member of the Institute of Internal Auditors and Project Management Institute. His previous career largely compromised of freelance consultancy, which accounts for the fact that he has worked in 92 countries for circa 52 organisations.
He is a lifelong Spurs and Saracens supporter and follows the England cricket team.
