Kingston Smith Consulting LLP was established in 2009. The founding partners had all held senior management positions in global organisations but were keen to offer a non-traditional approach to consulting services.
We have a wide range of internal expertise, and maintain a network of Referral Partners for complementary services. We are confident we can deliver against client requirements on any aspect of governance, risk management, controls assurance or technology risk advisory.
All of our consultants have multi-jurisdictional expertise. Although we are London-based, our work for clients covers all areas of the globe.
KSC is committed to delivering top quality work, and promoting international best practice. This is true both for our large corporate clients and the scalable solutions we provide for SMEs and not-for-profit organisations.
KSC does not believe in the "blended rate" or hourly rate model for the type of work we do. As explained in "Fee transparency", we scope each engagement prior to quoting, minimising misunderstandings and sudden increases in time towards the end of the project.

Experienced, multi-certified staff
All members of the KSC team are extremely well-qualified in their chosen fields. KSC only recruits staff with a minimum of 10 years’ experience, acquired both in consulting and operational roles. For larger or niche engagements, we maintain a vetted network of contract associates. The team has experience in dealing with international and FTSE-100 companies right through to smaller organisations – so no matter what your size or need, we can work with you to apply industry best practice.
KSC believes in clear communication with clients at the commencement of, and during, an engagement. We always do our utmost to understand a client’s needs before quoting on work, maximising client certainty and agreeing methodology. We typically quote on a "fixed fee" basis, but can work on a day rate basis if appropriate.
We ensure the same staff work on your engagement from start to finish, so that client knowledge does not need to be periodically re-learnt. We also endeavour to use the same core team to perform any subsequent related work to ensure consistency and efficiency. These consultants are supported by other specialists as and when required. This ensures that you are provided with cost-effective, scalable and pragmatic solutions which meet your business objectives.
One key differentiator is our commitment to sharing best practice methodologies with our clients. We offer training and skills development to clients where appropriate, and look to developing client capability in order to reduce or eliminate the reliance on consultants to deliver similar services in the future.

Our wide experience is key to the identification of the appropriate resource for our clients. We are committed to on-going training of our staff, and each professional receives a minimum of 40 hours technical training per annum to ensure they remain up to date.
